I set this tank up when I was on vacation years back…yup setting up tanks is something I do for fun on vacation 🙂
It was a 10 gallon freshwater tank that I had planned on using as an unheated aquarium which worked well. It had a standard hang on filter and I used. Even without a heater, the tank stayed in the 70’s which allowed me to keep some plants and shrimp. If you want to learn how I built the rock wall background you can follow that link. Even though the tank currently has no water in it, the rocks are still held on to the glass to this day, minus the few I’ve pried off.
Aquarium: 10 gallon fish tank
Lighting: Current Orbit VHO Fluorescent
Filtration: Random Hang on Filter
Red Cherry Shrimp
Dwarf Puffer (Some of the time, after I broke down this tank)
